I have been teaching and managing classes for 7 years. Within this time, I have taught a range of ages and capabilities from adult fitness classes to our very own ‘Lil Redz’ classes. I am a qualified teacher with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and I am currently furthering my qualification in dance at a degree level at Middlesex university in the Batcholer of Arts: Professional Practice course. I have 3 years’ experience working in a state secondary school assisting and teaching Key stage 3 drama and LAMDA. I have also completed, numerous graded examinations with the Holy Trinity Drama examining body.
I am very privileged to be able to share my passion for the arts with such an enthusiastic company, that cares for its students. Redz allows students to feel included and inclusive, which not all companies allow room for. I feel with my own personal experiences, it is vital to make every student feel welcomed and valued to ensure a positive learning environment for all. Students are also offered exceptional opportunities to perform at local displays and also in the academy’s shows, where equal opportunity is given.
Past Shows: Each year Redz displays 2 shows a year, one in the Summer Term and one in the Autumn Term. Our summer shows tend to be a variety showcase and our Autumn show tends to be a pantomime. In 2015 Redz performed a pantomime written by myself and the other staff members of Redz called Twisted tales – the story followed the evil villains from Disney had stolen Christmas and Jack Skellington was at the heart of the trouble, how could our hero Santa put things right and save Christmas in time? In 2016 we created Alice in Pantoland again another fantastic pantomime with great success and feedback.
