Redz Is Proud To Welcome Andy Pelos As It’s Patron

Andy received his early training from his friend and mentor John Guillain in Shakespeare to Old Time Music Hall. At the age of 16 he toured the comedy circuit with the double act Pelos & Varnam. They were offered roles in the hit musical “Happy as a Sand Bag”. Andy portrayed the blue cheeky chappy, “Max Miller”.

Andy returned to his roots of Rock ’n’ Roll, formed a band and went on the road playing music.

He toured Europe, South Africa and the U.K in the musical “Ferry Cross the Mersey” (Flying Music) for Gerry and the Pacemakers. Combining his love of theatre and Rock ‘n’ Roll, he toured with “Four Steps to Heaven”, concluding with a run at the Piccadilly Theatre West End. (Bill Kenwright).

Andy has a great love for traditional Pantomime and has appeared in “The Wizard of Oz” (Scarecrow) and his favourite “Cinderella” (Buttons).

Andy was approached by writer and director John Godber, who offered him the lead role, “Stan”, in “Big Trouble in the Little Bedroom” and then went on to be part of the original cast for his new play “Our House” at the Hull Truck Theatre.

He was the Musical Director for “The Roy Orbison Story”, the national tour of “Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven” and the musical, based on ITV Studios, “Heart Beat”.

He has toured the U.K in Pete Townsend’s rock opera “Tommy” and “This Is Elvis”, playing “Joe Esposito” for Bill Kenwright Ltd.
Andy is at present working as the lead singer for Showaddywaddy who are currently on tour in The UK and Europe. Which included a performance at the O2 as part of the “Once in a Life Time Tour”.
