Safe Guarding

Safe Guarding

At Redz Performing Academy, children’s health, safety and welfare are a key priority and we take our responsibilities in these matters very seriously.

All our members of staff and volunteers hold a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate and are regularly trained in safeguarding and Child Protection materials. Our staff are also fully first aid trained and undertake rigorous training prior to their recruitment within the academy.

Below is our Redz PA pledge to Safeguarding which all staff, volunteers and visitors must read and abide by:

At Redz Performing Academy we are committed to safeguarding children and have clear policies and procedures in place in line with local and national legislation. These place a duty upon every member of staff who has contact with children in their role to safeguard and promote their welfare. Redz PA has nominated Safeguarding Leads who act as contact points for support and advice if concerns are raised about a child ‘s welfare. The academy is committed to ensuring child safety is at the heart of everything we do.

Redz Performing Academy has a statutory duty to “safeguard and promote the welfare of children”. If you have any concerns about the health and safety of a child at any of our sites or feel that something may be troubling them, you should share this information with the Designated Safeguarding Lead as soon as possible, by recording your concerns on the appropriate form. Some issues such as a child’s appearance, hygiene, or general behaviour can be shared with any coach or member of staff within the academy. Please do not worry that you may be reporting a small matter – we would rather you tell us things which turn out to be small than miss a worrying situation. However, if you think the matter is very serious and may be related to a child protection concern, where the child has been harmed or is at risk of harm e.g. physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect, you must talk to one of the people below immediately. Do not delay. If you are unable to contact them, you can ask a location Principal to contact them and ask them to speak to you straight away about a confidential and urgent matter. The people you should talk to at this school are:

Neil Braybrooke-Tidy – Founder of Redz PA

Annabel Johnson – Executive Principal of Redz PA
